Historic Smithville Park in Eastampton, with its centerpiece c. 1840 Greek Revival Mansion is set in one of the few remaining “intact” Victorian Industrial-era villages in the region. Filled with history and some fascinating, homegrown architecture, Historic Smithville Park has experiences to offer visitors from all walks of life. With access to a beautiful stretch of the Rancocas Creek, Smithville Lake , and hiking trails, this park provides:

Encompassing 280 acres of upland forest, wooded wetlands, historic village, and Smithville Lake this park will see a major expansion in outdoor recreation facilities including:

• New trails and improvements for a total trail length of 4.4 miles
• A 600-foot floating walkway on Smithville Lake (Opening Spring 2004)
• Picnic areas with playgrounds and group shelters
• Drinking fountains
• Rustic gazebos
• Canoe landing with small picnic area
• Additional parking facilities
• Restroom facilities

In addition, major historic preservation projects are underway at Smithville including:

• Design and construction of the new Smithville Museum and Visitor's Center
• Design and construction of the Smithville Village/Park Avenue Streetscape
• Restoration of #6/7 Park Avenue

Park Hours
The park is open from dawn to dusk, 365 days a year.

Smith Mansion Hours & Tours
The Mansion Grounds are open weekdays from 8AM to 5PM.
Mansion tours provided by the Friends of the Mansion at Smithville from
May to October, on Wednesdays and Sundays.
Tours begin at 1, 2, & 3PM.

Mansion Admission
Adults $5.00; Seniors $4.00; Students $3.00; Children under 6 are free.

Please do not pick the flowers. Smoking, food and beverages are not permitted
in the historic buildings. Handling of artifacts and interior photography &
videotaping are not permitted.

Restrooms
Restrooms are located in the Northeast corner of the Mansion Annex,
and inside the garden walls. There are also portable restrooms in the picnic area of the park.

Volunteer Positions Available
The Friends of the Mansion at Smithville and The H.B. Smith Village Conservancy
assist Burlington County Parks at Smithville.
