Battery Recycling

Battery Recycling

Many rechargeable batteries are Lithium-ion batteries. Lithium-ion batteries store a lot of energy in a small amount of space, and can be a fire risk if not used, stored, or disposed of properly. Batteries should NEVER be disposed of in your curbside recycling or trash.

Rechargeable batteries can be safely disposed of at many Lowes, Home Depot, and Staples stores. Residents can use the Call2Recycle store locator tool to find the nearest location accepting rechargeable batteries. https://www.call2recycle.org/locator/
