About BookDrop
- Our Mission is to save books from the landfill and promote literacy.
- Each month we save 1.5 million books from the landfill, while recycling over 750 tons per month.
- Over 100,000 books each month end up back in readers hands.
- Any books in any language or subject are accepted.
BookDrop Benefits
- 50% of books are read again by another reader.
- The remaining books are turned into new products with a local domestic paper mill.
- Zero books end up in landfills.
- Local history is preserved, and historical artifacts are saved.
- There is no cost to the Township or residents.
