Beginning on March 1, 2019 Public Works began to collect large items separately from regular household trash collection. Bulk waste consists of items such as furniture, carpeting, pool covers, and bicycles.
Any loose items must be bagged or securely and properly tied into bundles or packaged to prevent spilling not to exceed 50 lbs. as per Township Ordinance.
- Please do not place any items out for collection prior to 6:00 p.m. the Thursday evening before, and no later than 6:00 a.m. on your scheduled bulk pickup day.
- No waste materials of any kind that are generated from commercial activities or businesses, including handyman, repair services, retail store, offices, real estate agencies, landlords, contractors, or agricultural enterprises will be collected.
- Per Ordinance 2023-11 beginning January 1, 2024 there will be a maximum of two (2) large items and five (5) bags allowed per household per bulk trash collection.
- You do not need to call to schedule an appointment for Bulk Pickup.
- No house/rental clean outs will be collected.
- Please note any trash can or receptacles placed out on bulk pickup day will be considered items ready for pickup and will be disposed of.
- If you place any items out after your area has been picked up for the month, please remove them until the next scheduled Bulk Pickup. Please see the below Bulk Pickup Schedule for your Area.
Televisions and computers
These items are not Bulk pickup. Covered electronic devices (CED's) such as computers, laptops, monitors and televisions may be dropped off at the Public Works facility. Please see the below Electronic Device Drop-Off Flyer for details. They may also be dropped off at the Burlington County Resource Recovery Complex, see below flyer for further details.
Household hazardous waste (HHW)
HHW is leftover products that contain corrosive, toxic, ignitable, or reactive ingredients such as paints, cleaners, oils, batteries, anti-freeze, pool chemicals and pesticides. This also includes lawn mowers. These items are not Bulk pickup, and they cannot be dropped off at the Public Works facility. You may deliver to the Burlington County Resource Recovery Complex. Burlington County residents are not required to make appointments but must provide proof of residency. Materials will be accepted free of charge. Small businesses and out-of-County residents must make an appointment and will be charged a fee for services rendered. To schedule an appointment please call (609) 499-5200. Please note that materials will only be accepted during operating hours of Tuesday-Friday 7am until 3pm and Saturday 7am until Noon. If a holiday falls on a Monday, the facility will be closed on Tuesday as well.
You may also drop-off used motor oil at some automotive shops (i.e. Advanced Auto, Autozone, Mavis Discount Tire, Pep Boys, etc.) in our area.
White Goods: Refrigerators, freezers, stoves, window air conditioners, washers and dryers
These items are not Bulk Pickup and are picked up on the first Friday of each month. Please use our online form to the left to schedule pick-up at the address where the item is located at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled pickup day.
- Residents must remove doors from appliances prior to pick-up.
- Please note microwaves and dishwashers are not White Goods and are to be collected on your scheduled bulk pickup day.
