The Eastampton Township Police Department is pleased to announce the availability of new Autism Awareness Stickers designed to help Police officers and other emergency service personnel better identify and assist individuals with autism during emergency and non-emergency interactions.
These stickers serve as a valuable communication tool, helping first responders identify situations where an individual may have unique communication, sensory, or behavioral needs during traffic stops, accidents, or other emergency situations.
The Police Department extends its gratitude to Lumberton Walmart for its support through the Walmart Sparks Good Grant program. A portion of the grant funding received helped offset the cost of producing these stickers, making this important community safety initiative possible.
Autism Awareness Stickers are available to Eastampton Twp. Residents free of charge at the Eastampton Township Police Department Records Division:
1380 Woodlane Road
Eastampton, NJ 08060
Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Residents who have an autistic family member or regularly transport an individual with autism are encouraged to obtain a sticker and display it on their vehicle, home window, or front door.
For additional information, please contact the Eastampton Township Police Department Records Division during normal business hours 609-261-1717.
Together, we can help ensure safer and more effective interactions between first responders and members of our autism community.
