ETPD would like to congratulate our 2024 Officer of the Year, Det. Tracy! Det. Richard Tracy, a graduate of Northern Burlington High School, began his law enforcement career as a police recruit in 2013 at the Gloucester County Police Academy. Det. Tracy gained valuable experience before being hired here at ETPD in 2016. After three years on patrol, Det. Tracy impressed with his intuitiveness and ability to work cases, which in turn helped him on his road to being assigned to the Detective Bureau in 2019. In 2021 Det. Tracy was promoted to Detective in Charge, a position to which he still holds today.
Chief Iacovitti spoke highly of Det. Tracy’s efforts stating, “To our community, this award is a testament to the caliber of individuals who wear this badge. To our department, it’s a reminder of the standard we strive for every day. And to Detective Tracy, it’s a small token of our gratitude for your extraordinary service.”
