Maria Rivera is a proud resident of Eastampton and a dedicated public-school educator with a deep passion for education, leadership, and community service. She is the mother of two children—her youngest, a student at Rizzieri Aveda School, and her oldest, a recent graduate of La Salle University.
Maria serves as an elementary school teacher in the Mount Holly School District. She holds a Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS) in Elementary Education (K–8) and Students with Disabilities, earned in May 2015. She graduated Cum Laude from Georgian Court University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Humanities and Education.
Her commitment to academic excellence and professional growth is reflected in her membership in several distinguished honor societies, including Phi Delta Kappa (Professional Association for Educators), Phi Alpha Theta (History Honor Society), and Chi Alpha Epsilon (Educational Opportunity Fund Honor Society).
Beyond the classroom, Maria has proudly served on the Eastampton Township Council for the past year and remains actively engaged in educational leadership and advocacy. She serves on the Burlington County Education Association (BCEA) Executive Committee and represents local educators as a delegate to the National Education Association (NEA) Representative Assembly. Through her work, Maria continues to champion strong public schools, educator voice, and student success.
