Octavia Lee has proudly called Eastampton home since 2007. She and her husband, Charles, have been married for 19 years and remain active contributors to the community. They have one child, a 2024 graduate of Eastampton Community School and a dedicated soccer and basketball player, who is now a sophomore at Rancocas Valley Regional High School. The Lee family lived in the Eastampton Mews for 12 years before settling in Carriage Park in 2019.
Professionally, Octavia brings a broad and deep commitment to public education as an elementary school Principal in the Palmyra School District. With a decade of administrative experience and an extensive background as both a literacy specialist and elementary educator, she is dedicated to advancing instructional excellence, strengthening inclusive school communities, and promoting equitable learning opportunities for all students. Octavia maintains active membership in the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) and the New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association (NJPSA), reflecting her ongoing engagement with professional learning, leadership development, and statewide advocacy.
In addition to her professional work, Octavia is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Organizational Leadership at Stockton University, further enhancing her capacity to lead, collaborate, and innovate as a scholar-practitioner committed to systems improvement and community impact.
Octavia earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from The College of New Jersey in 2005 and her Master of Education in Educational Leadership in 2007. She completed her principal certification through the New Jersey Expedited Certification for Educational Leadership (NJ EXCEL) program in 2016.
Octavia has served on the Eastampton Township Council since January 2025. Following her first year of service, she was selected to serve as Deputy Mayor. In this role, she is honored to leverage her educational leadership experience, community engagement background, and commitment to public service to advance the priorities of Eastampton and strengthen the quality of life for its residents.
