Dog Licensing

Monday, January 1, 2024 (All day)

Dog with Daffodils

The State of New Jersey mandates that dogs seven months of age or older must be licensed annually through the municipality where the owner lives. The owner must present proof that the dog has been vaccinated against rabies by a licensed veterinarian, and that its immunity will extend through at least ten months of the twelve-month license period as per NJ State law.

Please go online to license your dog beginning January 1, 2024.

  • There will be a late fee of $10.00 assessed for each dog beginning on March 1, 2024 as per Ordinance 2021-5.  (Please see Ord. 2021-5 in the below documents). This will be in addition to the $10.00 License Fee.

**Please ensure your dog's rabies vaccination does not expire prior to November 1, 2024 or the license cannot be issued as per NJ state law.
